Common questions about reaching the shop and what to expect.

Do I need to bring the truck in to book a consultation?+
No — the booking widget schedules a consultation appointment, which can begin as a phone call or in-person visit depending on your preference and how complex the build is. For simple builds (Stage 1 tune on a known platform), we can pre-scope by phone. For more complex builds or trucks with unknown history, we prefer the truck in the shop for the initial inspection. Use the booking widget above and we'll confirm the format when we reach out.
How far in advance should I book?+
Consultations are typically available within one to two weeks. Actual build appointments — when the truck comes in for work — are scheduled after the consultation and depend on parts lead times and the shop's current schedule. Complex builds (compound turbo, full drivetrain work) can have four to six week lead times. Booking the consultation early starts the planning process and gets you on the schedule.
Can I call instead of booking online?+
Yes — call (713) 555-0181 during shop hours. Monday through Friday 7 AM to 6 PM, Saturday 8 AM to 2 PM. For complex build discussions or trucks coming in from out of town, calling first often works better than the online booking form because we can discuss the build scope in detail before scheduling time on the calendar.
Do you accept walk-ins?+
We accept walk-ins for quick questions and to drop off literature, but build consultations are by appointment. The consultation is a structured conversation — we want to give you the full assessment without interruption. Scheduled appointments get the full 45–60 minutes. Walk-ins during a busy shop day may need to schedule a return visit for the consultation proper.
Is there a charge for the consultation?+
The initial consultation is complimentary. We spend the time up front because a well-scoped build is better for the truck and more efficient for the shop. If the consultation reveals diagnostic work is needed before a build plan can be written — for example, inspecting injection pressure under load or pulling codes on a truck with unknown history — that diagnostic work is billable and is quoted before proceeding.
