From Sugar Land it is US 59 and Beltway 8 to a shop that builds only Cummins, Power Stroke and Duramax trucks. ECM tuning, fuel, turbo and transmission work, proven on the dyno.
Is the trip worth it? That depends on the job, and we will tell you which side of the line yours falls on.
Sugar Land has plenty of places that will swap fluids, fit a lift or sell you a parts kit. What it lacks is a shop that builds only Cummins, Power Stroke and Duramax trucks and treats the calibration as the main event. That is the gap our Houston shop fills, a drive up US 59.
If you want a tune written for your truck and proven on the dyno, a fuel or turbo package matched to it, or a second opinion on a build that is not behaving, the trip pays off. If you need an oil change, stay local. We would rather say so than take the job.

Sugar Land's trucks sort into three rough groups, and each group points at a different set of upgrades.

The route is short on turns:
Expect roughly 25–35 minutes outside rush hour. US 59 inbound backs up in the mornings and late afternoons, so a mid-morning booking is the easy way to skip it. Our contact page has hours and the address.
A town that grew out of a sugar plantation on the Brazos floodplain still drives like a flat, dense suburb.
The pattern we think about most is the short trip. Errands between the lights on SH 6 and US 59 rarely give a modern diesel enough time at full temperature, and diesel particulate filters need sustained highway runs to clean themselves out. A truck that lives on short hops needs a different conversation than one that spends its week on the freeway.
Add heat and humidity that run from spring into October, and the cooling system is working harder than the spec sheet assumes. When a Sugar Land owner does tow, the destination is usually the Gulf coast, a long steady run over flat ground with the engine and transmission loaded the whole way.
So we ask how you drive before we talk power. The tune, and any parts behind it, follow from that.

Sugar Land belongs to the Fort Bend County group of towns we serve, alongside Missouri City and Richmond. Choose another city below to see its route.
Not entirely, but the Westpark Tollway gives you a tolled alternative that ties into US 59 and Beltway 8. Outside rush hour the drive is roughly 25–35 minutes either way. At rush hour, a mid-morning appointment makes it easier.
It can be. Short trips keep a modern diesel from reaching full operating temperature and can interrupt the emissions system's cleaning cycles. We check for that and talk it through before any tune is written.
Cooling, transmission temperatures and fuel supply, in that order, because heat and long steady runs stress them first. The tune comes after we know the supporting parts can handle the load.
From the western side of Sugar Land, the Grand Parkway north meets the Westpark Tollway, which runs east toward Beltway 8 and US 59. It is tolled, and it is a reasonable choice when US 59 is backed up.
Ram Cummins 5.9 and 6.7, Ford Power Stroke 6.4 and 6.7, and Duramax LBZ, LML and L5P. If your truck is something else, ask first and we will tell you straight.
Bring the truck and the plan. Choose a time below, and we will go through how you drive and what you want from it before a wrench gets turned.
"They pulled my truck three times to get the tune dialed. Never had a shop do that."
